Fresh Cuts, Sensual Suits and Divine Faux Fur at Stella McCartney for Autumn/Winter 2015
Join us for the Stella McCartney AW 15-16 ready-to-wear collection at Paris Fashion Week. The sophisticated runway show was held inside the prestigious Academie Nationale de Musique. We bring you highlights from the presentation as well as an exclusive look at the VIP guests arriving at the venue and taking their front row seats. Celebrity sightings included Woody Harrelson, Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Mario Testino and the Delevingne sisters.
Speaking to Fashion One, the designer talks about her inspiration and gives her thoughts on the key pieces of this season’s collection. The Stella woman is always her inspiration, but for winter she explored precision and sensuality. Soft, romantic country elements were apparent in the hues and fabrics, although the evening wear was distinctly luxurious with twisted pearl necklaces complimenting strapless bustiers on dresses and jumpsuits.
Other stand-out garments included curved cut panel tops and dresses, belted trouser suits and high waisted pants amongst oversized shirts and jackets. The designer is renowned for being an advocate for animal rights and included an eye-catching white faux fur jacket and hat alongside other beautiful faux fur trimmed garments, proving a point that real fur is unnecessary and can be safely removed from the world of fashion.
Stylist Edward Enninful complimented Stella McCartney’s perfect combination of wearable clothes and inspiring design pieces, and even her super famous father has some kind words to say about his talented designer daughter.
