Lupita Nyong’o and Jennifer Lawrence Reign Supreme
Popular movies series The Hunger Games celebrated the premiere of the latest installment in the franchise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, in London. Main actress Jennifer Lawrence looked as glamorous as ever in a white Dior gown as she attended the event. Her costars Josh Hutcherson, Julianne Moore, Donald Sutherland, Jeffrey Wright, Elizabeth Banks, Natalie Dormer, Stanley Tucci, Sam Claflin and Jenna Malone all showed up in support of the film. Moore revealed that her role in the movie meant a lot to her as her children thoroughly enjoyed the books, and that reading the books made her want to be in the film.
Actors Jodie Foster, Lupita Nyong'o, Bruce Willis, Laverne Cox and model Coco Rocha showed up at Glamour magazine’s 24th Annual Women of the Year Awards to support the event. Winners included actresses Nyong’o, who won an Oscar earlier this year for her role in Twelve Years a Slave, and Cox, who was the first openly transgender person to be nominated for an Emmy Award this year, as well as fashion designer Sarah Burton, who designed the Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton’s wedding dress, and U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power and Chelsea Clinton for their work in diplomacy and charity respectively.
