Guardians of the Galaxy London Movie Premiere

The red carpet premiere of Marvel’s latest blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy was held at the Empire cinema at Leicester Square in London. Thousands of hopeful fans turned up to catch a glimpse of their favorite celebrities, as the cast signed autographs and posed for photographers.

Zoe Saldana, who recently announced her pregnancy, was radiant in a blue, floor-length Valentino couture dress, while the former Doctor Who companion Karen Gillan wore an all Louis Vuitton look. Vin Diesel, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth and screenwriter Joss Whedon, who created the wildly popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, also attended the premiere.

"It’s starting to feel real, that I’m starring in a Marvel movie. This is pretty undeniable—here we are in London, back where we shot the movie, and tonight’s the night to really celebrate all the hard work that we put in to making the movie. It’s starting to feel real. I’m just excited for an American audience and the global audience to finally get to see this movie," exclaimed actor Chris Pratt.

Of her role in the film, Karen Gillan said, "For me the appeal of being an actress is the transformational aspect, and that’s exactly what this film gave me. I changed everything: my voice, my physique, my hair, it was amazing."

Zoe Saldana revealed, “The more and more I come to these events, the more and more I feel like I’ve been invited, and the less I feel that someone is going to tap me on the shoulder and say, ‘What are you doing here?’ So I’m starting to feel more familiar.”
