A very intimate but successful presentation for this master of craftsmanship and sensuality. Hosted in a very Parisian lobby in the Tuileries’ district, Jonathan Riss introduces a chic and flirty woman but in an edgy approach reminding his New York roots. A true « couture » ready to wear collection with full Mohair graphic sweaters and sweater dresses, chain embroidered looks and stunning leather pleated skirts. The play of hard and soft and the contrast between short and long lengths makes the Jay Ahr woman fresh and current but still extremely glam and luxurious. The work on each pieces could have make the overall collection look quiet heavy and unapproachable but the styling and use of light material would make every girl and woman want to be in these clothes. The presence of Stefano Tonchi at the presentation doesn’t lie on the obvious success of this couture house and its art director and we cannot wait to see what the next season will be made of.
